About

ArtSee features the work of up and coming artists in our community and region as well as established local artists who have laid the groundwork for a growing arts landscape in the Grand Forks region.

Art enthusiasts as well as newcomers to the art scene are invited to enjoy the local art of paintings, pottery, photography, and digital media. Not only will art be displayed, but attendees will also see the artists in action as they will be creating works of art throughout the evening.

Free beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres are provided and the event is free and open to the entire community.

ArtSee is the GGFYP’s opportunity to provide support for the arts in our community and engage the citizens of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals

Mission

We enhance our community, create connections, and invest in each other.

Who we are

The Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals are both young and young at heart.  We are not always professional…but we care about our community, and we represent the interests of the 20-40 year olds in our area.  We are made up of college students, pencil pushers, parents, and people whose collars come in many colors.  We love living here and we think other people should too.

What we believe

Integrity is a must.
We believe in the richness of differing thoughts, ideas, and people.  The best solutions involve an appreciation for past experiences, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to take risks.  All of this must be done through a commitment to honest dialogue and respect for others.
“Integrity is when what you say, what you do, what you think, and who you are all come from the same place.” (Madelyn Griffith-Haynie)

Change happens.
Our world is dynamic, and so are the possibilities.  We believe in a community that is dynamic and forward thinking and we believe that we can enhance our community.  We create and welcome change.
“Confidence, like art, never comes from having all the answers; it comes from being open to all the questions.” (Earl Gray Stevens)

Activity equals vitality.
We believe in active involvement in our community.  Through leadership and volunteer work, we choose to take an active role in the world around us. We also believe in healthy choices and active lifestyles.
“Far too many people spend their lives reading the menu instead of enjoying the banquet.” (Unknown)

How we live it

This is serious business…but we don’t have to be too serious about it.
Fun, fun, and more fun!
We are autonomous and collaborative.
Embrace change, don’t fear it.
Knowledge is power.
Honesty and respect are NOT optional.
We support each other and our community.
The cup is half full.
If we commit to it, you can count on it.
